Galvanic Corrosion of Fuel Line

Before launching a new engine in the Americas, a well-known car company wanted to be sure that there was no risk of galvanic corrosion of parts of the fuel line in aggressive fuels. MCA carried out investigations with specially constructed test assemblies made from the fuel rail components filled with different aggressive fuels. By close monitoring and inspection, it was found that any galvanic corrosion was minimal and unlikely to cause any problems in service.
